CLUSTER CROSS COUNTRY – FRIDAY 26TH AUGUST 2022

Mon Aug 22 02:38pm

CLUSTER CROSS COUNTRY 2022

Our annual Cluster School Cross Country is to be held THIS Friday – 26th August, with a postponement date of Monday 29th August. To be held at Kereru Community Hall, Kereru Road.

There will be food for sale – sausages, home baking, and juicies… all available for $2:00 each (see attached flyer).

Please arrive at Kereru by 9:15am.

PLEASE REMEMBER THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL BUSES – YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ARRANGE TRANSPORT FOR YOUR CHILD/REN TO AND FROM THE EVENT. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR CLASSROOM TEACHER IF YOU NEED SUPPORT WITH THIS.

Children need to arrive in their sports t-shirt, and either blue or black (preferably blue) comfortable running shorts. However, we strongly encourage you to put in some warm dry clothes for afterwards as Kereru is providing a true country-style course and the likelihood of getting wet and muddy is very high! Year 2-8’s will definitely get wet feet, so a spare change of footwear is advised! Please provide children with food and water for the day.

If for some reason the event is cancelled we will let you know via our school Facebook page as well as our school app. If it is in fact cancelled, it will be a normal school day.

Note: The cross-country course is set on hilly terrain and involves water and fence crossings.
